The 1st month of 2012 is almost over! You know what? The older you get, the ‘shorter’ the years become. We definitely have to learn how to maximise each day we have so that our dreams & aspirations can become a reality. As I prepare towards ‘CareerShift with Jimi Tewe’ holding this Sunday, Jan 29, I have come to find out that one of the greatest limitations most people face in their Career is the Fear of Failure (or the Unknown). A number of people who are enduring their career have an idea of what they’ll like to do but the immediate consequences of moving forward keep them riveted in one spot. In fact, for a lot of people, this ‘fear’ affects many more areas beyond their career. If we however allow our ‘fear’ to subdue the courage we need to move forward, we are inevitably preparing a harvest of regret in our future. ‘I could have been; I should have been; I might have been’ are all phrases that ‘smell’ of regret. In life, the experience of discovery is typically preceded by experiences of mistakes. The road to success is hardly a straight and smooth one.
What is it that you desire for your career this year? Learn to use each day to take a good shot at it. With good planning and ‘faith’ in your heart, your dreams can actually become a reality. Remember this, God created you to succeed & so with His counsel and help, you will do great things. I will be speaking more about this & much more @ the event this Sunday. It promises to be one of the best investments for all participants this year.
