Take Responsibilty!

Thank God It’s Monday!

Welcome to a New Week.

My blog post today is a call to Nigerians to take up responsibility for change. I am certain you have heard about the stampede at the Nigerian Immigration Service test this weekend that led to about 23 people dead.
Well, I have been reading various comments by people and well meaning Nigerians about it. Surely, the organisers of the test made fundamental mistakes in their planning but the situation points at a very critical issue that MUST be addressed.

Unemployment MUST be addressed.

Firstly, the fact that they charged each person N1000 which accrued to over N2Billlion is a shame & reflects how this situation is being exploited.

Secondly, the sheer numbers of attendees shows the mental state of desperation many young Nigerians have come to imbibe when it comes to unemployment.

Time will not permit me to share all my thoughts on this but my question is this? ‘What will you do about it?’. Can you decide to look for one person who is unemployed and give them some advise on what can be done to change their situation?
Will you finally decide to start that business you have contemplated because starting it will help employ some people? In everything everyone will say this week, I want you to keep asking yourself, ‘what can I do to make a difference?’

I believe the God we thank every Monday has a solution He can deliver through you.

This week, I would like to ask you to Make A Difference in someone’s life who is unemployed. You never know, you might be able to discover a solution that will help many of them eventually. As you settle into work today, remember that a major essence of living is giving.

The only thing you will take out of this world is the gratitude of those you have impacted during your lifetime. Let’s make this week count!

Have a wonderful day ahead.
